Our Story

First Presbyterian Preschool was established in 1962 as a non-profit, non-denominational school for children three, four and five years of age. Our teachers model Christian principles through example and instruction. We focus on developing loving, trusting, and respectful relationships with the children. We are affiliated with the First Presbyterian Church of East Aurora and support the church’s Mission Statement.

We believe each child is special and has a unique background of experiences. Our preschool program is designed to nurture the social, emotional, intellectual, physical and spiritual growth of each child.

Our 3-year-old students attend a classroom called the “Sunshine Room”. Our 4/5-year-old students attend a class called the “Star Room.” The Director of our Preschool is Liz Riemer.

Mission:

Empowering students for a brighter future through child centered learning by nurturing the whole child; socially, emotionally, physically, academically, and spiritually.

First Presbyterian Preschool has been a well-respected preschool in our community for decades. We have generations of families that have attended our preschool which speaks volumes for the quality of our preschool program. We are a non-denominational preschool located in the big white church across the street from the library. We are happy to be a mission of the church.

Meet Our Teachers

Our diverse backgrounds in Early Literacy, and Early Intervention make for a well-informed, well-rounded staff and a developmentally appropriate preschool program.  Most importantly, we are all mothers!  We have empathy and insight, and we can relate to the parents in our program.

Safety

The safety of your children is our top priority. During preschool hours, every door to the church building is LOCKED. Anyone who enters the building during preschool hours must use one of two entrances (camera surveillance) to be buzzed in by the church secretary.
